About Volunteering

The success of the Fleetwood Fastpitch program has always been due to the support and commitment of the parent/guardian volunteers.  In order to assure the enjoyment of the fastpitch experience you and your child(ren) will have this year, over 40 volunteers are required to assist each week.

For each child you have registered in Fleetwood Fastpitch this year, you're asked to commit to one of the following volunteer opportunities listed below. 

Online Volunteer Sign Up

Fleetwood Fastpitch is happy to provide you with a convenient way to sign up for your volunteer time.  Simply click the Volunteer Sign Up link and follow the steps. Please ensure that you include your name/your child’s name when signing up for your volunteer shifts.  This will assist us in verifying that your volunteer time has been completed.

Volunteer Option 1

One 4-hour shift of “Concession Duty” Friday, Saturday or Sunday during a tournament or two 2-hour shifts Monday-Friday evenings during the  regular season.  Specific duties will be determined by, and your shift will be deemed complete by, the “Volunteer Coordinator”.  The minimum age is 16. These duties include, but are not limited to:

a. serving customers
b. stocking fridge
c. preparing some food
d. washing dishes

Volunteer Option 2

One 4-hour shift of “Field Maintenance” during a tournament.  Specific duties will be determined by, and your shift will be deemed complete by, the “Tournament Director”.  The minimum age is 15.  These duties include but are not limited to:

a. lining and raking fields
b. diamond set up
c. dugout clean-up
d. emptying garbage cans
e. general park clean-up
f. cleaning/stocking washrooms

Volunteer Option 3

Coach an FFA team for the season, or be 1st Assistant Coach for the season (Mini Mites & up). 

Only one coach and one assistant coach per team will receive the volunteer exemption determined by the Head Coach.  If you have more than one child playing, your commitment is complete with this task.
