Force 00 comes in FOURTH in their division at the Canada Cup
Congratulations to Force 00 for coming in 4th place in the Future Selects division at the Canada Cup. Strong pitching and clutch hitting came through for the team, as they went 4-1 in the round robin, earning the top spot in their pool. The highlight of the weekend was the quarterfinal game against the Diamond Dusters from Washington State, with a walkoff victory coming just past midnight. The girls battled right until the end and can surely be proud of all they accomplished this season. A special thank you to Robin Currie of Force U12 for being an amazing batgirl! Congrats again ladies!

Force Supermites place SECOND in their division
Over the weekend, our Force Supermite U10 team participated in the annual Supermite tournament in Burnaby. Being such a young team, they were certainly underdogs, but absolutely exceeded any expectations. The team went an overall 3-4 for the tournament and made it to the final in the C division. There were all kinds of achievements, from hits, to plays in the field, and overall great teamwork and sportsmanship. It was very special to have four of our Force 00 players coach the team (Taylor B, Taylor C, Sydnie and Anjulie) and be amazing mentors for the young girls. Thank you to the coaching staff and Camager for all their hard work. We are so proud of the team and already looking forward to next year. Congrats on a fabulous weekend!
Fleetwood Senior Marlins win the Andre Blanleil Sr. Memorial Fastball Tournament in Kelowna
It was a great comeback victory for the Marlins in the final in Kelowna. The game was high scoring right from the beginning, and they entered the third inning trailing 8-5 against Andre's Athletics. The team managed to score a combined six runs in the fifth and sixth innings and were able to hold on for a final score of 13-9. The Marlins never gave up when they were down and their small-ball play was key to their victory. Congratulations to these wonderful men!
Various Fleetwood teams come home with hardware after successful weekend
As the 2018 season is beginning to near its end, Fleetwood teams continue to shine all across the age categories. We are very proud of our U10 team, winning SILVER at Districts this weekend! Congrats to all these teams; we are extremely proud of all of you!

Force 00 wins SILVER in our Karen Reimer Memorial Tournament
Congratulations to our Force 00 team for winning silver this weekend at our Karen Reimer Memorial home tournament. The team had 3 wins and a tie in the round robin and won their semi final game. The girls fought hard in the final, battling back from 6 runs down to tie it, but unfortunately lost in an International tie breaker. It was still an amazing weekend for the team. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this weekend possible and a special thank you to the Reimer family for braving the cold and coming out for the game!
Opening Day 2018
Well, we pulled it off! From umpires cracking eggs on their heads to raise $200 for the Surrey Firefighters Charities to everyone who donated, from the large amounts of water to the little bit of sunshine, we all had fun! Thanks to our FFA Executive, Force 00 for running the stations, Senior Reign balloon artists, and everyone who came out to our opening day. Thank you to Rockie Gagne, who threw out our first pitch, for all your support and dedication to our sport, the teams you coached, and our association.
Rep Night 2018
We had a great time at this year's rep night. Our incoming U12 team received some awesome gifts including their first Force jerseys from the U19s. They were also gifted with Jordan the mascot, who is always passed down to our new U12 team. A special thank you to Alysha Somerton for her great speech and Zoe Balbosa for coming through with some great words on the fly. Thanks to all of our Executive, parents, coaches and athletes for making the night a success.

Force 00 Exceeds Expectations in Las Vegas
Congratulations to Force 00 for their very successful weekend, competing in the Valentine's Day Blast tournament in Las Vegas. Complete with a final victory in extra innings, the team won their pool, taking home medals as well as a trophy! Many items were checked off the bucket list, such as winning a game (which turned out to be multiple), striking out batters, and completing double plays. One accomplishment that wasn't on the bucket list was hitting homeruns, achieved by Anjulie Mahanger (with two), Taylor Callewaert, and Zoe Balbosa (a grand slam). Away from the field, the girls had a great time exploring the Vegas strip and bonding as a team. This will certainly be an experience they will never forget.
Field Director Manny Valoma, along with other members of the Executive, examine the Las Vegas fields... Pretty nice except for this foul line!
Team bonding and fundraiser for World Youth Athletics Fund!
Force 00 had a fun team bonding night watching the movie Thor: Ragnarok at a fundraiser hosted by the World Youth Athletics Fund. They raise money to help fund athletic programs in local schools and in the Philippines. Thanks to Michelle Bicknell for making this happen!
First mentoring night of the season!
The girls of Force 00 and Force 06/07 (and our 2 younger sisters) dedicated their evening to the Langley Association for Community Living by donating art supplies and creating some art of their own! It is always great to have our older girls teach our younger ones the importance of giving back to the community. A big thank you to Zoe Balbosa for organizing the event.
